The Telegraph this week published the following article on the new housing market
One of Britain's biggest mortgage lenders is predicting house prices to rise by up to 4pc in 2019, following a turbulent year in which growth lingered around the 1pc mark.
Halifax said that while house price growth in 2018 was very much within its forecast range of 0-3pc, stability would return to the market in 2019 with growth of between 2pc and 4pc.
According to Halifax, house prices in Britain stabilised in December 2018, with annual growth up 1.3pc.
On a monthly basis, prices increased by 2.2pc in December, following a 1.2pc fall in November, boosting the average house price to £229,729.

Beautique Developments appear to be the new in word of 2018. So just what is a Beautique Development??
It would appear that smaller, charming and unique properties that have character, class and cachet are what people covet.
Liebre have cottoned onto this trend and are building more boutique homes. This demand has increased as people are becoming more and more aware of the importance of interior design and architecture. As a developer we now want to cater to those who are after homes with flair, character and original touches. Today, it is strongly believed that beautiful, yet simple and tasteful properties gain a lot of interest because they are considered to have more prestige, not to mention better resale values than bigger development schemes.
So there you have it, this perfectly describes our Sidings Development at Hutton Cranswick. This development consists of 10 unique properties everyone different, all incorporating unique architectural features and bundles of character.

Stamp duty has now been abolished for most first time buyers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
A permanent change to the initial stamp duty threshold for first time buyers means that anyone buying their first home won't be liable for stamp duty if the purchase price is below £300,000.
The new relief has been introduced with immediate effect and applies to anyone purchasing their first home from November 22nd 2017.
First time buyers will need to declare that they have never owned a property either in the UK or abroad. A special first time buyer code will need to be submitted with the stamp duty return once a home is purchased.
Full Stamp Duty relief is available up to £300,000, with reduced liability up to £500,000. Any purchases above £500,000 will attract the normal stamp duty rates on the whole purchase price.

What a beautiful Summers morning it was today very fitting for Yorkshire Day. Out early this morning travelling down some of our picturesque country lanes made me think just what a wonderful part of the world we live/work in. East Yorkshire has so much to offer its residents and we are lucky to have some wonderful sites coming up in 2016/17. Yorkshire is blessed with a wealth of differing landscapes, no matter where you are in the county your not far from our wonderful coast line many resorts now offering Blue Flag beaches, whilst if the coast is not for you we have the stunning countryside with some truly amazing walks, for example Millington Pastures only a few miles from our latest build at Low Catton . Moving East from here takes you over to Driffield - The Capital of the Wolds and the nearest Market town to our new site soon to start at Hutton Cranswick.
Of course if the countryside is not for you we have some fantastic towns within the county, York perhaps being one of the most famous whilst Leeds offers slightly more for the shopaholics amongst us.
Wanting some more ideas then why not visit the Yorkshire website for amazing examples of how to enjoy our fabulous county. http://www.yorkshire.com/
HAPPY YORKSHIRE DAY EVERYONE

Well it wouldnt really be right to not mention brexit at this time. On the run up to the elections everything you read seemed to contradict something else you had read and figures were almost plucked out of think air, from news articles now it appears many are regretting their decision to vote out and some even calling for a revote!
Well we have taken our vote, the country has made its decision and now lets knuckle down and get on with things. Worry and scaremongering do more harm to the economy then most other things combined so come on Britain lets roll up our sleeves and make it happen.

Welcome to our blog and for the first one I thought i would post a customer review we received this week as theres nothing more honest then customers and its always nice to see true feedback. Here at Liebre we believe very much in "a good reputation" and the best advertising you can ever have is word of mouth.
So when i received this recently from a client t who has just moved in to their forever home built by us, I felt rather proud and couldnt wait to share it.
We have been very fortunate to have had Liebre Developments Ltd. building our new house. They are very professional and extremely helpful at all points of the build, fitting in with our preferences for variations in the specification where we have wanted alternative fittings or design adaptations.
Sharon guided us through all the work being done and helped us with decisions on all the internal work. Nothing was ever a trouble to her no matter how many emails we sent every day. Carl with his excellent team have built a superb house for us with attention paid to the smallest detail. We were met with friendly faces at all times and we are delighted with the result.
Going forward we continue to have support from Carl and Sharon who have responded swiftly and helpfully to any queries and requests for additional items since moving in.
We would not hesitate in recommending Liebre to anyone.
